Custom Jersey Questions, Answered

Sports are rough. Ordering jerseys shouldn't be. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, call us at 1-888-715-1856 or email info@tkojerseyco.com.

A real person picks up, Monday to Friday, 9 to 4 Eastern.

Getting Started

Two minutes to kick things off. We do the design work.

How do I start?

Hit Start Your Free Design if you'd like to see what your jerseys could look like, or Get a Quick Quote if you want pricing first. Either takes a couple of minutes. You can also message us on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, or just call.

What do you need from me?

To design: your team name, your colours, your logo and a sense of the look you want. To produce: each player's name, number and size. You don't need all of it up front. We'll start designing while you round up the roster.

Is the design really free?

Yes. Design, unlimited revisions, artwork setup and a 3D design poster of the finished look. You can go through the whole design process and walk away owing nothing.

How many teams have you worked with?

More than 8,500 across Canada and the United States, mostly hockey and baseball. We're 5 stars on Google and 5 stars on Facebook.

Design

Colours, fonts, logos and proofs. Nothing prints until you say so.

Do you design the jerseys, or do I?

We do. Tell us your colours, send your logo and share any ideas. Our design team builds it, you review it, we revise until it's right.

Can I pick any colours I want?

Any colours, any combination. Everything is fully sublimated, so there's no colour limit and no extra charge for using more.

Can I choose my own font?

Yes. DaFont.com is a good place to browse. Send us the name of one you like and we'll build it in.

Can I add sponsor logos?

Yes, at no extra cost. Chest, sleeves, back, shoulders, wherever you want them. Send us a high resolution file and tell us where it goes.

Are names, numbers and logos extra?

No. Names, numbers, team logos, sponsor logos and league crests are all in the price. No setup fees, no per-name charges.

What should my logo file be?

Vector is best (AI, EPS, SVG). If you don't have that, a PNG or JPG at 300 DPI or better. The cleaner the file, the sharper it prints.

I don't have a logo. Can you make one?

We don't create logos from scratch, but plenty of our customers have had great results with AI image generators. Make something you like, send it over, and we'll clean it up and work it into your design.

Can I put a pro team's logo on my jersey?

No. NHL, MLB, university and other trademarked marks can't be printed. We're happy to design something inspired by a look you love, in your own colours with your own identity.

Do I need the rights to the logo I send you?

Yes. Any logo or artwork you send has to be something you have the legal right to use. We can't obtain rights or permissions on your behalf, and by sending us artwork you're confirming that you have the right to use it. If you're not sure, ask us before you send it.

Can I see it before you make it?

Always. You get a print proof for every single item showing the name, number, size and every logo exactly as it will print. Nothing goes into production until you approve.

Can I get a physical sample first?

Yes, free of charge. We print your design on the actual fabric so you can see the real colours, then mail it to you or send a photo. It adds a bit of time to the design stage, so ask for it early.

Ordering and Minimums

Five pieces to start. Your design stays on file forever.

What's the minimum order?

5 pieces for a new design. Once your design is on file, there's no minimum on reorders, so a single replacement jersey is a normal order for us. Hats are 12 per style.

Can I order just one jersey?

If your team's design is already on file, yes. For a brand new design, the minimum is 5.

How should I send my roster?

A spreadsheet, please. Excel or Google Sheets with Name, Number and Size columns. We copy and paste straight from it, which is how we keep spelling errors off your jerseys. Ask us for our template.

Do you keep my design on file?

Forever. Next season, or five seasons from now, we update the names and numbers and print. You never redo the design work.

Can I add a player mid-season?

Any time. Send the name, number and size and we'll send a proof.

Can I cancel?

Any time before you pay, at no cost. Once you've paid and your order is in production, we can't cancel it, because it's already being printed with your team's details.

Timelines

Three weeks from paid and approved. Start early.

How long does production take?

Three weeks from the day your payment lands and your proofs are approved. Headwear runs 3 to 4 weeks. Most of the industry takes four to eight.

When does the three weeks start?

When both things are done: proofs approved and invoice paid. Whichever happens last starts the clock.

Can you rush it?

We don't have a formal rush service, but tell us your date and we'll give you a straight answer on whether it's achievable. The fastest thing you can do is get us your design details and roster early.

Will it be ready for my tournament?

Send us the date. Three weeks for production plus a few days for shipping is the honest math. Start early and we'll do everything we can.

How do I know when it's ready?

We contact you directly. If it's shipping, you get tracking. If you're picking up, you get the combination to our locker.

Sizing

Real measurements, real samples. Measure, don't guess.

Do you have size charts?

Yes, for everything we make, with real garment measurements rather than just S, M, L. See the size charts. Measure a jersey the player already wears and compare it to the chart. That's far more reliable than guessing by age.

Can I try one on first?

Yes, and we recommend it. We keep sample sizes at our Woodstock showroom, or we can send a size run to your team so everyone can try before you order.

Do you have youth, goalie and women's sizes?

Yes to all three. Hockey jerseys run YXS to YXL in youth and XS to 3XL in adult, with goalie cut in youth, intermediate and senior. Other products have their own ranges on the charts.

What if someone picks the wrong size?

Contact us. Because everything is made to order and the size was confirmed on your proof, a replacement is a new order at regular pricing, with no minimum since your design is on file. Nobody should be playing in a jersey that doesn't fit, so let's get it sorted.

Payment

Nothing owed until your proofs are approved.

How do I pay?

Credit card through the link in your invoice, or Interac e-Transfer to payments@tkojerseyco.com. Put your team name and invoice number in the message field.

When do I pay?

After you approve your proofs and before production starts. Payment is what puts your order in the queue.

Do you take a deposit?

No, payment in full. Nothing is at risk until then, since design and proofs are free.

Is tax included?

All pricing is plus applicable taxes. Canadian customers pay in Canadian dollars, US customers in US dollars.

Shipping and Pickup

UPS with tracking, or our pickup locker in Woodstock.

Can I pick up in Woodstock?

Yes. We have a secure pickup locker out front of our showroom at 225 Bysham Park Drive, Unit 2A. When your order is ready we message you the combination, and your package is inside with your name and team on it. Pick up any time that suits you, evenings and weekends included.

Who do you ship with?

UPS, across Canada and to the United States. You get tracking as soon as it leaves us.

How long does shipping take?

A few business days within Canada, depending where you are. Add that to the three week production time when you're planning.

Can I change my address after ordering?

Yes, as long as it hasn't shipped. Please also check the address on your invoice before you pay, because that's the one we use.

What if my package is lost or damaged?

Tell us within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We file the carrier claim and replace or refund your order. Chasing the carrier is our job, not yours.

Orders Shipped to the United States

Duties prepaid. What you're quoted is what you pay.

Do you ship to the US?

Yes, and we prepay all tariff and duty costs. There's no surprise bill at the door. What you're quoted is what you pay.

Is there a minimum for US orders?

Yes, 5 pieces per shipment. Current tariffs come with a large brokerage fee on every package that crosses the border, and it doesn't scale down for small shipments. If you're under 5, ask around your team. Combining orders gets you over the line and saves everyone money.

Team Stores

Families order their own gear. You share a link.

What's a team store?

A dedicated online store for your team or association, stocked with custom gear that matches your jerseys. You share the link, families order and pay for their own items, and we handle production, shipping and customer service. No collecting sizes, no chasing e-transfers, no leftover inventory.

How do I set one up?

Email us with your team or association name, your sport and roughly how many families you're covering. We design the product line, build the store and send you the link.

How long does the store stay open?

Your call. A set window of a couple of weeks works well when you want everything to arrive together. Year-round works well for associations with families joining throughout the season.

How does delivery work?

Direct to each family's door, or as a group order shipped to one location on a set date for you to distribute. Group orders save families a meaningful amount on shipping, which is why most teams pick them.

What does it cost the team?

Nothing. No setup fee, no cost to the team or association.

Associations

One partner across every team in your association.

Do you work with associations, not just teams?

Yes. We're the uniform partner for a growing list of minor hockey and baseball associations across Southwestern Ontario, including the Tillsonburg Otters, Ingersoll Ironbirds, Delhi Tigers, Aylmer Pirates, Woodstock Minor Baseball, Brantford 99ers and Blyth Bullets.

What's the Association Partnership Program?

A preferred supplier arrangement for associations that want one consistent partner across all their teams. Partners get a named contact who knows the association, priority through the busy season, a give-back on member orders, first look at new designs, and help with spirit wear you can sell as a fundraiser. Terms depend on the association, so the next step is a conversation. Get in touch and we'll set it up.

We're running an RFP. Will you bid?

Yes, and we'd like to. Send it over with your deadline and we'll respond properly, with pricing, timelines, samples and references.

Quality and Care

Ink in the fabric, not on it. Built for a full season.

What are the jerseys made of?

100% polyester, chosen for sublimation. Lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking and built for a full season of games.

Will the print fade, crack or peel?

No. Sublimation puts the ink into the fabric rather than on top of it, so there's nothing to lift or peel. It won't wash off.

How do I wash them?

Cold wash, hang dry or tumble low. Skip the fabric softener and they'll look right for years.

Will my reorder match last year's jerseys exactly?

Very closely, but small colour shifts between production runs are normal in sublimation. They come from ink lots, fabric lots and press settings, the same way two cans of the same paint can differ slightly. If a colour is genuinely wrong rather than slightly different, that's on us and we'll fix it.

If Something Goes Wrong

If we got it wrong, we remake it free and pay the shipping.

What's your return policy?

Everything we make is custom, so we can't accept standard returns. What we do instead is stand behind our work. If we got it wrong, we remake it free and pay the shipping both ways. Read the full policy.

When do you remake at no charge?

When what we printed doesn't match the proof you approved, when the wrong item or size was shipped, when there's a manufacturing defect, or when something is missing. Report it within 14 days of delivery with photos and we'll get on it the same business day.

What isn't covered?

A change of mind after production starts, a size you approved that fit differently than expected, spelling or design details approved on your proof, and normal colour variation between runs. Your approved proof is the agreement about what we're making, which is why we ask you to read it carefully.

How fast is a remake?

Remakes jump the queue. Most take under three weeks, and we give you a firm date when we confirm it.
